The Zoetrope was invented by british mathematician william George Horner in 1833 or 1834. The Zoetrope consists of a cylinder with slits cut vertically in the sides. The cylinder is a band with a image from a set of sequenced pictures. The cylinder spins around and your looking at different types of image and that tells short story. 

In our class we had Zoetrope that the tutor brought in. It consists of 9 small figures made of plastic in positions as if bouncing a ball. The ball is on card behind the figures.  if you spin round the Zoetrope (this one is made to work by battery) the pictures would pass each of the slits at speed and creating the illusion of movement.  The figures look like they are running  and bouncing the ball. Although the zoetrope works, the illusion is not brilliant because the speed is not quite fast enough. But it gives you an idea about some of the movement, especially when you remember how long ago these devices were made.

 

The Kinetoscope was invented by Thomas Edison in 1889 and it was developed by others between 1889 and 1892. The Kinetoscope was designed for films to be viewed by one person at the time through a peephle viewer window at the top of the device.
This work when Kinetoscope machine could be loaded with a sheet of perforated film which moved over a light and gives the impression of moving image.

The Praxinoscope was an animation device. It was invented in France in 1877 by Charles-Emile Reynaud. It used a strip of pictures placed around the inner surface of a spinning cylinder, and that tells story by looking at the pictures.

It has inner circle mirrors so when someone is looking at the mirrors it rapid succession of the image producing the illusion of motion, with a brighter and less distorted pictures than zoetrope offered.

The Phenakistoscope it was an early animation device that used the persistence of vision Principle to create an illusion of motion. It is regarded as one of the first forms of moving media entertainment that paved the way for the future motion picture and film industry.

 

The Zoopraxiscope is an early device for displaying motion pictures. Created by photographic Pioneer Eadweard Muybridge in 1879. The Zoopraxiscope is projected image from rotationg glass disks in rapid succession to give the impression of motion. Also the stop motion images were painted onto the glass as silhouettes. 

Cinematographe. Lumiere brothers were known for creating a camera that captured moving images and projected them for people to view. The device was called the Cinematographe.

In 1895 they were responsible for the first public broadcast of a moving image production called ‘Arrival Of A Train at La Ciotat’.  Cinematographe apparatus for showing motion pictures films.

I use photoshop. For examply to do my animation I used photoshop, Firstly I took a pictures put it in to the photoshop then I strat dreawing out. Then I added colours after that I i used timeline to animate. Poser Pro software allows you to make 3D animation and the characters, scenes, props, textures and lighting. Go animation is a web software sign up to their site and you have access to have thousands of characters models. Sketchbook Pro its 3D industry and its assembled a digital drawing and painted application that's essential for every form of 2D artist.
